Cub Scouts

What are the age requirements to join Cub Scouts?

To determine whether or not your child is cub scout or scout BSA age, the child should be between these grade levels. If you child does not fall within these ranges, they would go directly into Scouts BSA. 
(See Scouts BSA information in right area)

1. Cub Scouts can start as early as first grade.
2. Be no older than 5th grade.

All Cub Scouts initially must complete the basic Bobcat badge requirements, regardless of their age.    

Scouts are placed in Dens by ages:

• Kindergarten: Lion
• After Lion, Bobcats is earned, then
• First Grade: Tiger
• Second Grade: Wolf
• Third Grade: Bear
• Fourth Grade: Webelos I
• Fifth "Grade: Arrow of Light

Once a Scout earns their Arrow of Light, they move onto Troop 75 Scouts.

Cub Scouts is the greatest program out there for the development of young people.  Each grade or den level is designed to be age appropriate.  With each progressing den level the challenges become slightly greater.  The culmination of which would be the coveted Arrow of Light Award as shown above. Once this award is achieved scouts are promoted over to the Scouts BSA at Troop 75 that meets at the same day and time, Wednesdays, 6 to 7:30 PM.

Cub Scouts progress through ranks up to the Arrow of Light Award.

In addition to basic rank advancement, Pack 75 is well known for doing many other activities that involve the entire family.  Beach clean ups, big pot lucks, and great themed events.  

Pack 75, one of three units in Orange County to ever receive the Unit National Hornaday Conservation Award. 

Every first Saturday of June, Pack 75 and Troop 75 host the Scout 75 Fest Pushcart Races.​
